PATENT PROSECUTION AGENT (1543)
Description
Our client is seeking a highly-qualified and motivated patent agent for their Biotech/Life Science Patent Prosecution Practice Group. The position is flexible in location and open to candidates with excellent academic credentials, communication, and interpersonal skills. An advanced degree in biology, biotechnology, biochemistry, or a related field (Ph.D. preferred) is required. Ideal candidates will have at least 2 years of experience in drafting and prosecuting patent applications in life sciences, biotech, or pharmaceuticals; or experience in biotech commercialization such as university tech transfer or industry commercialization/regulatory compliance. The role demands a candidate who can integrate scientific expertise with commercial and legal insights, is comfortable with oral presentations, and can effectively work independently while supporting supervising attorneys remotely. Previous law firm or industry experience and current admission to the USPTO are mandatory.
